Wear denim all day – at work, at home and while you’re out at night – to unite in protest against sexual assault. We stand in support of survivors! Break the silence to end sexual violence.

Denim Day Miami 2013 aims to unite the community in raising awareness of sexual assault and supporting charitable work for the prevention and treatment of assault and abuse through workplace giving campaigns.
How Denim Day Miami Came About
In 1998, an Italian Supreme Court decision overturned a rape conviction because the victim wore jeans, reasoning she must have helped her attacker remove them. Family Counseling Services (FCS) hosts Denim Day campaigns aimed to raise awareness, educate the public and as a visible means of advocacy against the myths that surround rape and sexual assault. All proceeds from this event go towards funding FCS to support its sexual violence prevention and treatment programs.
