Miami, FL – (November 9, 2011) - Christina Lalama, Program Coordinator and Therapist at Family Counseling Services of Greater Miami, Inc. (FCS), appeared as an expert on Telemundo News November 8. Lalama was a guest on this special report that aired on channel 51 as part of the 9:00 a.m. news broadcast.
This two-part special addressed the media’s influence on sexual violence and behavior, eating disorders, and the media’s influence on teenagers.
In the special, Lalama offers her expertise on the effects that media has on teenagers and how parents can identify and prevent negative influences. Lalama suggests that parents speak openly with their children about healthy interpersonal relationships, as well as help their children identify the difference between reality and entertainment.
Lalama previously appeared as an expert on Telemundo’s show Levantate, providing knowledge on the topics of divorce and preventing child sexual abuse.
