Maria began weekly individual therapy. Her brother and foster parents also became FCS clients. Over the next several months, her therapist used play therapy to overcome Maria’s difficulty in verbalizing her feelings,. Her foster parents and teachers noticed a remarkable improvement in both behavior and academics. Maria and her brother are currently in the final stages of being adopted by their foster parents.
